What we do

Harnessing the Science of Aging

 Different individuals age at different rates. The science of aging is the emerging field that seeks to understand why some individuals age faster than others on a biological level. This heterogeneity is reflected in a person’s biological age, or how uniquely far along that person is in the aging process. Owing to diet and lifestyle choices, a person’s biological age might be drastically different from how old the calendar tells them they are. An evaluation of an individual’s biological age can be made by adjusting that individual’s mortality timeline to reflect a variety of  health factors.

Developing a Finer Resolution

 During the traditional underwriting process for life insurance, clinical health markers are collected and scanned for signs of disease. This traditional process leaves a lot of valuable information on the table. Capturing the nuanced ways in which these health markers change over the lifespan, Invive applies its proprietary algorithm to make an evaluation of an applicant's biological age, which can be used instead of their calendar age during underwriting. Our solution aims to give insurers a more high-resolution and holistic picture of an applicant’s health that can improve improve risk assessment.
